Design Project
Module Description:
Students are tasked with designing a plant based on a general assignment.
This includes process development and selection on the basis of alternative evaluations, quantity and energy balances, process and RI flow diagrams, design of the main equipment, installation planning and an economic efficiency calculation.
The work is done in teams of 8-10 students, assembled by lot. The team is responsible for organizing its own work. The group reports weekly on the results achieved and the work planned. The work ends with final presentations by all participants and a field trip to an industrial company to discuss the results.
