Dynamic Models
Modulbeschreibung:
This lecture gives a systematic overview to dynamic process modeling and simulation. The basis is the set up of mass and energy balances, a discussion of momentum balances is deepening the understanding of such. Constitutive equations, such as equations of state and kinetic rate expressions, are applied. Model simplification and model reduction methods are briefly outlined. Suitable analytical and numerical solution approaches for dynamic and/or spatially distributed systems are presented and discussed. Especially in the context of continuously increasing computational power, the understanding of the capabilities and limits of applying numerical methods on chemical engineering problems is enhanced.
