Maximilian Gstettenbauer
Short curriculum vitae
Maximilian Gstettenbauer began studying chemical and bioengineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in October 2013. He completed this in May 2021 with his master's thesis on "Modeling of a trickle bed reactor for liquid phase hydrogenation of aromatics with regard to mass transfer limitations" in the working group "Catalytic Reactors and Process Technology" under Prof. Dr.-Ing Hannsjörg Freund. Following Prof. Dr.-Ing Hannsjörg Freund call to TU Dortmund University, Mr. Gstettenbauer also moved to Dortmund as a new member of the institute. There, as part of his doctorate in the RESOLV Cluster of Excellence, he is working on reaction engineering and kinetic investigations into the influence of various solvents on the hydrogenation of acetophenone. He is also dedicated to understanding the effects of substance transport in multiphase systems.
